It all started in Pinedale, Wyoming…

Mike and Sherri Irwin started Rocky Mountain Car Wash in 2001 with their first location in their hometown of Pinedale, Wyoming. They are no strangers to working weekends, cleaning muddy bays and working on car wash equipment!

Once they purchased the Pinedale wash, it wasn’t long before their young children, Taylor and Riley, started helping out. They learned the ins and outs of the car wash business from the ground up! Taylor’s first job at the car wash was token and quarter counting (she fondly remembers hours spent drying individual quarters for sorting), scraping mud in the wash bays, and taking out the trash. Taylor is now the company’s Chief Operating Officer and is driven by her passion for people and service.

Riley’s first job at the wash was as a customer service attendant. He cleaned wash bays, took out trash, helped customers, and performed maintenance on the car wash equipment. His natural mechanical talents led him to become a company wide technician. Riley recently graduated from Montana Tech in Butte with a degree in mechanical engineering and is now a Project Manager with the company helping to manage remodels and new location builds!

As the company has grown and Taylor and Riley run operations, Mike now focuses on new location development and Sherri manages the business finances. What started out as a single location car wash with Mike, Sherri, Taylor and Riley as the sole employees, has now grown to 14 locations (and counting) with 40+ valued employees.
